Time does surely fly. It's February already! First of all, AIC is doing very well. Our anime sales were much better than we expected and everybody is busy with Tenchi OVA3, Go Dannar2, Burn-Up Scramble and some new productions. The reason for not updating this page recently was my involvement with Anime Expo Tokyo from early to mid January. The images above are from the "Go Dannar!!" live event at AX Tokyo. Akira-san is such a great singer that he really stirred up the crowd in the live show. "Go Dannar!!" team, ganbare!

And at the end of January, it was time for big family business in Oahu, Hawaii, lasting a week. It's great to meet all the family members again after a long time, since everybody lives in different parts of the globe. I was glad I took a few hours off from family stuff to buy some books in a local book store and some frozen biscuits/crescent rolls in a supermarket. There are always online shops to order English books from but these frozen foods are really difficult to find here. I wish someday somebody would import them to Japan.

"Wonder Festival 2004" and "Tokyo Toys Festival" were held in the Ariake Exhibition Center yesterday. I went to the Toy Festival first and was surprised to learn that Mr. Glenn Shadix (as "Mayor" in "The Nightmare Before Christmas") and Miss Orli Shoshan (as "Shank-T" in "Star Wars" Episode 3) were holding autograph sessions. Tokyo Toys Festival was full of antique toys and the price tags of those toys constantly surprise me. Don't throw away those old toys at home, you may regret it later. Wonder Festival... well, I go there every year and its interesting when you want to know the trends of the current figurine market and what the otaku want. There is no doubt about Belldandy's popularity because she is there everywhere, every year. The other AIC characters show up on and off each year.
