(~: Anime is made at night :~)
::: May 13, 2004 :::

It was "Golden Week" in Japan from the end of April to early May.
Some of the AIC staff took a short trip to Taiwan for recreation (good
food...:o~~, Nakamurabashi is a food desert.-.-) and "Comic World Fancy".
The Comic World has a special Cafe for "Yaoi" fans, the "Bishounen Cafe"
(picture on the left). Compared to plenty of "Maid Cafe" in Akiba or
anime/manga events in Japan, the concept of a "Bishounen Cafe" was quite
new and surprising to us. On the other hand the idea might new but the
decoration is not much different from the "Maid Cafe" in most of the
conventions here. As you can see from the picture, there are just
a few simple tables, simple chairs and some POP stand signs. The only
difference is, you will have "young", "handsome" waiters to serve you.
None of us in the group are big Yaoi fans so we just took a picture and
went on for our "Doujin quests". The picture on the right is from
"The Taipei Confucius Temple". We were quite amazed by how well those
characters were drawn in comic style on the board to explain the rather
serious "Confucius ceremony".
