Keiichi is an ordinary college student at NIT(Nekomi Institute of Technology) who likes motorcycles. One day, a Goddess from heaven suddenly showed up in his apartment and told him:" I can make any of your wishes come true. But you can only make one wish."....
The original comic, created by Mr. Fujishima Kosuke, started from when the Goddess appeared in Keiichi's dormitory. "Ah! My Goddess" comic first appeared in Kodansha's "Monthly Afternoon" in October 1988 has been published for 12 years and still keeps the name of "The most popular comic". In 1993, an OVA (Original Video Animation) series directed by Mr. Hiroaki Gohda and character designed by Hidenori Matsubara was made and it soon became the most popular animation from 1993 to 1994. In 2000, Mr. Gohda and Mr. Matsubara again worked together to create this 2000 "Ah! My Goddess" movie.
The storyline compared to the previous Goddess anime so far is somewhat more serious with larger scale sight and solemn atmosphere but in the end will warm everybody's heart.
The creation team would like people to think about why an extremely normal human being like Keiichi has the power to support a Goddess. Where does the power of Keiichi come from to support Belldandy? And at that moment, we normal human beings reflect ourselves into Keichi. All the production team members would be happy if you feel the same bonding as they did.
And of course, the wacky Tamiya-senpai and Otaki-senpai , the first leader of NIT MCC Chihiro Fujimi, Sora Hasegawa and Keiichi's sister Megumi, also Goddess like Perth have their important roles in the movie.
On top of that, key people who are also original movie characters hold the secret of the whole movie.
