The "Third" type Mars android is developed by A.I. technology pioneer Dr. Asakura. Most of the "Thirds" are female type androids and have their own personality as human beings.

Main differences between a "Third" and "Second" is that a "Third" can conceive babies and has no switch on their temple. Therefore it is hard to distinguish them from human beings. The purpose of developing an android that is able to have baby is to address the low birthrate crisis on Mars.
