(Note:"Majokko"="Little witch" or "witch girl") Padudu is a majokko candidate who won the local "Magic Contest" in Sea Heaven. She is on the way to "Magic Castle" for the "Magic Invitational Tournament." On the way to Magic Castle she falls in a river and floats to Dance Valley. The police in Dance Valley put her in jail without giving her a reason. Padudu doesn't know that the mayor of Dance Valley, Cofy, is keen to send a Majokko from the Valley and thus has been putting every outsider in prison. In the jail, Padudu meets Nonononn who is also called " Witch of Ravage" by the people in Majokko Land. Cofy decides to terminate Padudu and Nonononn in order to please the Queen Purilun. Cofy puts Padudu and Nonononn in the Dance Valley Arena and sets up a fight with her pet PanPan. But Nonononn is tied up by steel chains and so only little Padudu can fight. In the critical moment, Padudu cuts off the chains to free Nonononn and kills Panpan.... Padudu learns her first lesson in real magic, the way to become a Majokko is about real battles with tears and blood. Nonononn says to her:"Now you know how cruel it is to be a Majokko. Go home and back to your peace and easy life!" and heads to Magic Castle by herself. But Padudu seems to catch on the idea of real magic and runs after Nonononn...
